HCBC: Membership to HCBC is required of both Rider and Horse owner. Closing of Entries: Saturday before the show at 1PM.They may be dropped off in person. Entries must include all required information and payment. Entry payment: Credit Card payments will be processed once Entries have closed. E-Transfers must be paid when Entries are submitted Ride Times: Ride Times will be available on Thursday afternoon. Once ride times are posted they are final. Those who request a time change after posting will be at the discretion of the Show Manager and will be charged $10 plus taxes. Late Entries / Substitutions: May be accepted at the discretion of the Show Office with a late fee of $10 plus taxes. Substitutions may be accepted with 48 hours notice to start the Show. Ribbons / High Point Award: Classes will be grouped according to level. We offer ribbons to fifth place and “High Point” award for JR/YR, AA and Open Divisions. Refunds: No Refunds after closing date. Show Arena: High Point has one indoor arena and one outdoor arena; either may be used for tests with the other to be used for warm up. Tests will be ridden in a 20’ x 60’ ring. Lunging: Is permitted in the Round Pen Only. Competitor / Equine Wear: Allowed: Boots, Bandages and Headsets. Helmets and proper boots must be worn, neat attire expected. Helmets must be worn while riding on the property at all times. Freestyle Music: MUSIC MUST BE ON A BLUETOOTH COMPATIBLE DEVICE (ie.: iPhone) Riders must organize for someone to play music for them. Please contact the Show Office with any questions regarding music material. Show Office / FAcility Access: The facility gates will open 2 hours prior to the first ride time. Show office will be available by phone and text 30 minutes prior to the start of the first class until the end of the day (604-603-1516). The Clubhouse will be closed for viewing. Washrooms will be available and the patio will be open for distanced seating. Food / Beverage: Are not available onsite; please plan accordingly. Dogs: Well behaved, leashed dogs (who leave no evidence) are welcome! Dogs are not allowed in the Clubhouse or Indoor Arena. Trailer Parking: Trailer Parking is available in the field adjacent to High Point Equestrian Club. Absolutely no trailer access to the showgrounds on the day of the show. Trail access to the showgrounds is available from the adjacent parking lot. Early or after hours access to the showgrounds can be arranged through the office. Agreement with Rules & Regulations Show Entry Agreement * It is the responsibility of the Show / Event committee, or organizers and the facility owners and managers (of High Point Equestrian Club) to ensure that all BC Health Authority and Worksafe BC Directives are followed and enforced. Horse Council is not a regulatory body and it is understood that sanctioning and approval of either a HCBC Provincial circuit event or Equestrian Canada Bronze or Silver competition relates to the use of the rulebook and approved officials only. It is hereby recognized that all equestrian sports involve inherent risk and that no helmet or protective equipment can protect against all foreseeable injury. I further acknowledge the risks in riding and working around horses and that these risks can include bodily injury to both horse and rider resulting from normal use, competition and schooling. In consideration of being allowed to participate in this event, I hereby assume all risks and release and absolve the Organizing Committee of 1015846 B.C. Ltd, bda High Point Equestrian Club, employees, Volunteers, Employees and Owners of the land upon which the competition is held of all responsibilities, liabilities or claims of any nature and kind which I may have arising from participation in the event.
